We are pleased to announce the 1st Annual "Night At the Opera House" for CFLF event in Vergennes!

Take a Deep Breath and Appreciate Your Lungs. Then  …

Come down to the Vergennes Opera House in downtown Vergennes, VT on the 11th of September for great music, drinks, socializing, and supporting a great cause: helping the Cystic Fibrosis Lifestyle Foundation provide those living with Cystic Fibrosis access to live longer, stronger lives. 

CF is one of the most common life-shortening hereditary diseases. It is a progressive, degenerative disease with no known cure. Most individuals with CF die young, many in their 20’s and 30’s from lung failure.  Recent advances are enabling a whole new population of adults with CF, who must become responsible for their own survival.

Support and inspire CF individuals to fight the odds by helping us raise money for CFLF Recreation Grants. These grants will fund gym memberships, skiing/snowboarding lessons, horseback riding, gymnastics, and tons of other activities for people living with CF, offering them fun and free ways to improve their health and self-confidence through physical activity. While healthy individuals often participate in physical recreation “just for fun”, for these individuals, it can be the difference between life and death.

Your cost? $10. The reward? A fun night out, and, most importantly, the knowledge that you’re helping these individuals live longer, stronger, more enjoyable lives. There will also be raffle prizes to help this cause.

ABOUT CFLF 

Brian Callanan, the Founder and Director of CFLF, was diagnosed at birth with CF and was expected to live only to age 8. Now, he’s 34 and healthier than ever! Instead of surrendering to the illness, he embraced it—hiking, biking, and sailing his way to amazing lung scores and an impressive, ever-improving projected lifespan. Help him to help others achieve the same.

To date, 97 people with CF have been awarded a total of $57,000 in Recreation Grants. Let’s see if we can raise the money to push that way past 100 people!
